Lakewood Ranch is a 31,000-acre master-planned community located in Manatee and Sarasota counties. Its motto is, "Live. Work. Play." There are plenty of options regarding all three.
When it comes to living there, Lakewood Ranch is broken down into different villages, and each offers something unique. For example, two of the villages are 55 and over communities. Some villages offer a variety of housing options (condos, single family residences, apartments, and town houses), and some neighborhoods are gated. You even have the option of owning a palatial golf course home in a country club community.
As for work, Sarasota and St. Petersburg are nearby if you're willing to commute, but there are certainly options in town if you'd like to stay closer to home.
When it comes to playing, you can expect to enjoy an active lifestyle in Lakewood Ranch with multi-surface trails, dog parks, golf and racquet sport courts, sport fields, a polo club, farmer's market, clubs and groups, restaurants, retail, movies, mini golf, a performing arts center, and thousands of acres of lakes, parks and preserves.
Whenever we go to visit friends and family in Lakewood Ranch, we love to ride our bikes on the trails, go for sushi at Hana Sushi Lounge, and breakfast at Station 400 or First Watch.
